On Thursday, August 24, 2006, a benefit fashion show was held for the Tara Bean Foundation. Lisa Tee of "A Basket Case" and "Fringe Boutique", West Boylston, MA, - hosted the event and showcased the 2006 Fall Etcetera clothing line. Models from Karen Shea Model Management donated their talents for the evening.

Massachusetts State Representative, Karyn Polito, received the first Tara Bean Foundation "Woman of Distinction Award" - recognizing her personal contributions to the community in the areas of philanthropy, children’s health care, community service as well as her professional achievements. 

Zito and Jen, of the WXLO Morning Show – 104.5 F.M. – emceed the evening. All proceeds are going to support pediatric brain tumor research and treatment.
