A Basket Case, inc. to Hold charity fashion show for tara bean foundation-in support of pediatric brain tumor treatment – Representative Karyn Polito to be honored

shrewsbury, ma, August 7, 2006:  On Thursday, August 24, 2006 Lisa Tee, owner of “A Basket Case” and "Fringe Boutique" in West Boylston, MA. will sponsor a fashion show, featuring the Fringe Fall 2006 Collection. Proceeds will benefit the Tara Bean Foundation and pediatric brain tumor treatment. The event will take place August 24, 2006, at Wachusett Country Club, West Boylston, MA. Guests can view the boutique from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and dinner and the show will begin at 6:00. State Representative Karyn Polito will be honored with the first “Tara Bean Woman of Distinction” Award, which recognizes women who have exhibited excellence in the areas of philanthropy, children’s health care issues, community service, and their profession.  Zito and Jen, of the WXLO Morning Show – 104.5 F.M. – will emcee the evening. Models from Karen Shea Model Management are donating their talents for the evening.

The Tara Bean Foundation is a Massachusetts non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, who’s mission is to secure funds for pediatric brain tumor treatment and research.  The foundation was established in 2005, in memory of Tara Bean, a Shrewsbury 4^th grader who passed away from a brain tumor in 2000.
